Ok, so you've taken the plunge and set up your MLM blog. So how do you keep your network marketing blog from being lonely? Your blog should be the nerve center for your entire online marketing strategy; however, unlike the movie Field of Dreams, the principle of "If you build it, they will come..." does not apply to the world of blogging. Your blog will die of lonliness without effective traffic generation. Here are a few easy steps that will keep your blog flowing with visitors all day and all night.

Keyword research is the first step in your traffic generation process. To begin with, your blog should have a targeted keyword in the name, in the meta description and in the meta keywords. For example you may want to target a key phrase such as "network marketing strategies." The process of researching keywords and phrases continues with your blog entries as well. You should be building your posts around a keyword or phrase. Google's keyword tool will help you find great keywords and phrases. Be sure to use your targeted keyword or phrase in the the title, first one or two sentences and in the final sentence of your document. Be sure that you do not stuff your blog post with the targeted word or phrase;however, you can use alternative words and phrases that convey the same meaning.

Once you've determined your keyword or phrase, it is time to put some sizzle into the title of your blog entry. The Headline Analyzer by the Advanced Marketing Institute is a great tool for evaluating the impact of your titles for their Emotional Marketing Value. The higher the EMV score the more likely it is to trigger a response from the reader. Selecting good headlines gives a prospect a reason to want to read your content.

Once your content is complete you want to notify the social media outlets of your new blog post. My favorite tool for doing this is Onlywire. Onlywire will submit your content to 30 social media and bookmarking sites with the click of a button. You will also want to link your blog to your Facebook and twitter accounts. This will allow your followers and friends to be notified each time you post a new entry to your MLM blog.

Your next step is to send out a ping to publicize your new content to the blogging community. I would recommend at the very least that you visit pingomatic and pingmyblog. The pinging services will then inform the major blog directories that you have added new content. You will also want to submit your RSS feed to several of the top RSS directories, to list your blog's feed.

For lasting results, I'm going to share with you two additional steps that will produce massive long term results. The first is article marketing. Re-write each of your blog posts and then submit them to several online article directories. Use targeted keywords and create a high EMV title, just as you did with the original blog entry. Use the keyword of your title for the anchor text of your resource box and link the anchor text back to your orignal blog post. This will identify the original blog post as an authority source on that particular keyword or phrase.

Video marketing can also be used in a similar manner. Create a short video that is no more than 2 minutes in length, previewing your blog entry. Place a link to the original blog entry in your video description to point people back to your blog. Don't forget to use a high EMV title built around your key word or phrase.

By taking the time to implement these powerful steps, there should never be any lonely days or lonely nights for your MLM blog.
