Take a moment to stop, breath and regain your perspective. In the world of online marketing, the power of focus cannot be stated enough. Long term success in network marketing online will come from the consistent application of a few powerful techniques and principles. There are two main questions you need to resolve as you evaluate your online marketing efforts. What online efforts or strategies have been the most fruitful in generating leads for your network marketing business? What techniques or strategies do you enjoy working with the most? Those questions will help you evaluate the methods that best answer the dual needs of productivity and personal satisfaction. Be sure to keep this list narrowed down to one or two strategy choices.
Poor time management is another common obstacle to success in network marketing online. I meet network marketers on a regular basis, who spend all of their time reading email, chatting on Skype, watching the next webinar and other non-productive elements of their business. Now, don't get me wrong, there is a time and place for each of those things; however, they must take their proper place in the overall priorities of building your business. In the world of network marketing there are only 2 things that produce income. The selling of products and sales overrides on the sales of products by those we have recruited into our business. Activities that do not contribute to either one of those processes need to become secondary in your daily schedule. I would recommend that you structure your day in a manner that leads to the greatest of productivity. For example, in my own business I check and respond to any urgent emails first thing in the morning. I check again for pressing emails around the lunch hour, the rest of my emails get dealt with late in the afternoon. I do not sign on to Skype unless I have an appointment or late in the day to check for new messages and contact requests. My Facebook profile gets updated first thing in the morning, mid day and late afternoon. My Facebook is tied to my Twitter, LinkedIn and Plaxo accounts, so that I do not waste time duplicating social media activities. The majority of my time each day is focused on only 3 things: Creating content, following up with leads and MLM training.
